Our Occupational Therapists provide rehabilitative service with an emphasis on functional activities designed to restore independence in the activities of daily living, work and leisure. Individuals of all ages who have difficulty with daily activities such as hair brushing, sweeping, cooking, gardening, writing, dressing, child care, work-related activities, knitting and other vocational tasks because of a physical, mental or developmental disability can benefit from Occupational Therapy services.
Every day people of all ages experience problems that significantly affect their ability to manage their daily lives. By helping people make the most of their abilities, our Occupational Therapists can aid many of these individuals in achieving or regaining a high level of independence.
Our team of Occupational Therapists and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants recognize that no two diagnoses are the same. In order to help each patient with specific therapy needs, the OT, with the approval of the patient’s physician, designs a plan of care. Depending upon individual needs, a patient typically receives treatment two to three times a week. A home program may also be developed to optimize treatment time. We work with all members of the health care team to help our patients to re-adjust to their community and provide a safe comfortable environment where they feel empowered to achieve their highest goals.
